We’re shaking things up this fall!  Instead of our usual Shelter Run, we’re introducing a new, exciting and BIG event—The Big Fix!  On Saturday, October 18, we’re partnering with our friends at Southern Souls Animal League (SSAL) and Eufaula Animal Hospital in Eufaula, AL, for a community day of health, wellness, care, and compassion for our furry friends.  Sponsored by Tails of Hope, the day will include:

 

• Up to 100 FREE spay / neuters for community pets

• Low-cost rabies vaccinations, microchips, and nail grinding / cutting

• Pet food giveaways to those in need

• Adoption event with available pets from SSAL and Eufaula Animal Control

 

We’re so excited to make such a big impact on the pet overpopulation problem in one day.  When you consider that ONE unaltered female dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 puppies in only six years and ONE female cat and her offspring can produce an incredible 370,000 kittens in only seven years, the far-reaching impacts are immense. 

 

Tails of Hope will be footing the bill for the spay and neuter surgeries, but we could use some help with the cost of pet food, microchips, and vaccines.  We need to raise about $5,000 to cover those costs and your donation would help SO much:

 

• A $10 donation will cover the cost of a vaccine

• A $15 donation will cover the cost of a microchip

• A $16 donation will cover the cost of a bag of dog or puppy food

• An $18 donation will cover the cost of a bag of cat or kitten food
