Welcome to the Tails of Hope version of Old Mother Hubbard's Cupboard!

We'll be visiting two rural shelters in North Carolina this summer and are hoping to have lots of supplies (from their wishlists) to donate. That's where you come in: We need your help to fill the cupboard with food and supplies that we can donate.  You can browse through the items we need, right, and as donations are made, we'll fill the virtual cupboard, below. Your donations are tax-deductible!  PayPal will ask you for a shipping address when you donate, but the items will be ordered by us separately and will not ship to you.  (We'll be recognizing our donors below, so if you'd prefer to keep your donation anonymous, please note that in the comments on PayPal).

The first organization we're visiting is Furry Paws Fosters, who pulls dogs out of rural shelters and fosters them until rescue is found.  They are often the 11th-hour link for animals who would otherwise be facing certain death.  The second is Columbus County Animal Control.  They recently made news for their program that transports dogs from their NC shelter all across the country to rescue groups, freeing up much-needed space in the shelter.  Their trip over Memorial Day Weekend took volunteers from North Carolina all the way to North Dakota, where ten dogs got a new "leash" on life!  Read about it here or here.
