Blondie's Story
Blondie ended up in a rural kill shelter, and had the misfortune of being labeled a Pitt Bull, which is often a death sentence for shelter dogs. Many people networked him for weeks and weeks, until his time was up, and he was scheduled to be euthanized. At the eleventh hour, Tails of Hope reached out to a local rescue, and offered to pay for all of the costs associated with bringing Blondie to Maryland. The rescue agreed, and Blondie was free! He is the sweetest, most mellow boy, and he was adopted by a wonderful family a week later.
Tails of Hope paid for Blondie's vetting, neuter surgery, health certificate, and shelter and transport fees, for a total of about $250. Saving his life, however, was priceless.
Your $30 ticket will help us cover rescue costs for other animals like Blondie.
Charlotte's Story
Charlotte came into a rural shelter after she was hit by a car, which caused a severe fractured in her leg. After the doctors were able to stabilize her, she had emergency surgery to repair her broken leg. She made it through the surgery just fine, but began vomiting profusely while recovering. Further tests reveals that she had a pork chop bone lodged in her stomach. Back to the ER room she went, and when the surgery was performed, the doctors also found plastic bags, leaves, and garbage in her stomach. What this poor girl must have endured!
When the shelter reached out for donations, we knew we wanted to help, and donated $500 towards her surgeries. She is recovering nicely and will soon be ready for a forever home.
Your $60 ticket will allow us to continue covering the medical costs of other animals like Charlotte.
Sadie's Story
Sadie, formerly Bonnie, also found herself in a rural kill shelter. She was found running the streets with her puppy, and, sadly, before rescuers could reach them, her puppy was hit and killed by a car right before her eyes. When she ended up on the euthanasia list, we knew we couldn't sit by and let her die. We again partnered with a local rescue, and agreed to cover all the cost to bring Sadie to Maryland, including her spay surgery, for a total of about $250
A local family fell in love with Sadie, and she now lives with them and her two furry brothers (she is cuddling with one of them in the pic, left--Sadie is the brindle-colored dog). She went from staring death in the face to a loving forever home in one week. She is an absolute lovebug!
Your $90 ticket will allow us to spay or neuter other animals like Sadie, which is the only way we'll ever be able to eliminate the problem of homeless companion animals.
