The Giving Tree

As I'm writing this, it's crisp and cool outside, with that first little whisper of fall in the air. I love this time of year, when summer gives up the ghost and fall creeps in--cooler temps on crystal blue sky days, cozy nights, and the unparalleled beauty of the trees as their leaves turn all sorts of ruby reds, bright oranges, and rich golds. And so, for our fall shelter run, I thought The Giving Tree Theme would be appropriate.

Since 2015, we've visited 36 shelters and rescue groups in 12 states. This time, we're headed to Eufala, Alabama to visit Southern Souls Animal League. When their shelter was ravaged by a tornado in early 2019, Tails of Hope donated all of the proceeds from our Bake Sale, with the promise that we'd one day make them the recipient of our shelter run. That day has come! On October 26, we'll start our trek to AL, and with your help, we can fulfill the needs of their current and future residents. See some of the animals currently in their care (at the time of this posting), below.

We'll also be taking some much-needed supplies to the city shelter as well.

Here’s how it works:

We’ve asked the shelter for their wishlist, and we’ll be collecting donations for the items below.
If you wish to donate an item, please see the paypal buttons below to make a donation towards an item. You can also make a monetary donation to be applied to one of the higher cost items or our travel costs below by using the "Donation" button below.
When an item is donated, we'll update the wishlist, and add a leaf to the tree below.
The items for which you are donating will not be delivered to you. We will purchase them with the donated funds, and will deliver them to the shelter when we visit.
