Dear Tails of Hope, THANK YOU so much for your web page about finding a lost cat. Your advice gave us hope, and pointed us in the right direction. We did what you said and got our wonderful little friend home again. If I were to add anything from this experience, the most important element was persistence. Knowing from you that an indoor cat may hide nearby for a long time, we did searches every day and night. Without this knowledge, we might have tried for a day or two and given up. It took a week. A nighttime search finally spotted our cat hiding under a truck a few streets away. An hour of trying to coax her to come to me got nowhere. She kept running off and hiding. I finally gave up and went home, only to discover she had beaten me to our door! My dad always used to say the scent of a cat's home is so distinctive that to the cat it's like a big sign that says YOUR HOUSE. Just to help that along, we had put some of her toys and articles of our clothing outside. We tried trapping, but all we caught was a skunk! Again, many blessings to you for your wise advice, Eric and Pam and Misty Lewiston ME

Eighteen months of Max No Tail and he's still the coolest male dog on earth. Max loves to play, snuggle, sit on feet, or on your lap in thunder storms, listen to Dad playing drums, and is still protective of his Mom, Dad and Malamutant sister but remains in appropriate awe of Mousey Tongue the Cat. He is all German German Shepherd and loves us as much as we love him. What an investment - Thanks Tails of Hope or in this case Hope for Tails.

Kellie has been with us just about a year now and she has fit in so well. I should say that she nows runs the house. She was so easy to fall in love with from day one. She has gained quite a bit of weight and really loves running in the yard and taking long walks. We are just so blessed to have her as part of our family and thanks Tails of Hope for allowing us to adopt her.

We adopted Chloe in August 2009. She is a joy and immediately fit in with our family, including our 13 year old deaf cat. Chloe was exactly who we needed and we hope we were just what she needed as well. Thank you, Tails of Hope.

We adopted Willie the cat in February 2009. He is a great cat and still the little devil he was when living with Anke. When he curls up in Stacy's lap at the beginning of the work day and he has been known to stay as many hours as she can stand it. He and his new step sister, Rudy, are great companions. Thanks Tails-of-Hope for the great work you do. Happy Holidays and please tell Anke that Willie is happy and healthy.

Just a quick Thank You. My cat, Cyduck, recently celebrated his 7th anniversary with us this past August. I brought him home when he was 4 months old and I can't imagine life without him. He is the patriarch of a small pride of house kitties (all former rescues as well), and they love him very much, as do I.

I think what you are doing is wonderful. I wish I could adopt a cat from you guys (esp. Caesar, I have a thing for tuxedo cats! ) but I already have 3 rescues that arent exactly the best of friends as it is. I'm always trying to get my friends to adopt a cat from you, but needless to say, they're at 'catpacity; too. Hopefully when I'm finished with college and get my own place I can adopt one of your adorable cats!

We adopted Nicky almost 2 yrs ago--one of the best things we could have done for ourselves! Everywhere around the house Nicky is our shadow, following either me or my husband, watching whatever we do in the sewing room, workshop and, needless to say, in the kitchen. Especially when he knows I'm fixing a new batch of chicken stew for him. He loves his daily walks, knows the routine and route never missing when something new rises above ground level ... a bird, a squirrel and, these days, a Santa Claus in someone's yard! Once a week he loves to visit his other best friend who runs a day care camp for dogs. It gives him a chance to socialize and race around the yard. He usually comes home "dog-tired" and ready to sleep it off for the next couple of days. He's had a clean bill of health, has grown to his full size, hovering around 35 pounds. He's perfect! Many, many thanks to Tails of Hope!

Wanted to thank you so much for courtesy posting "Little Max" for me. Without ever meeting me, you helped me so much by posting him. Then when I got inquiries for adoption you provided advice and counsel to me. And you did so with such compassino and caring. The web site if wonderful and I shows how much you care about the animals. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
