Please see all details and application requirements to adopt Thunder on the Tails of Hope website at www.tails-of-hope.org.
Thunder arrived at a Baltimore shelter requiring immediate urgent veterinary care after being hit by a car.
He has undergone all necessary surgeries and has recovered at a fabulous rate! When getting updated X-rays after coming into Tails of Hope’s care, it was discovered that not only did poor Thunder suffer a severe impact from a car to fracturing his pelvis and femur; he also was shot with a high powered pellet gun leaving pellets lodged in his body. The pellets don’t cause him harm and will remain. The rod in his femur was removed and he will require no further medical attention with his injuries.
Thunder is a deep soul...one who looks right into your eyes as if he could tell you his troubles and say he's fine and grateful for his new life. He is a love bug and snuggler. He is thriving and is now able to take the stairs up and down though he does come up sideways. Thunder’s completely house trained - not one incident inside. He loves his crate time and will go in and out of it all day on his own. He is a true couch potato and would spend all day on it if the foster family let him....EXCEPT HE LOVES TO RUN ON THE BEACH AND PLAY! To see Thunder enjoy his time in and out of the surf is nothing short of AMAZING after all he's been through!
He is an excellent car rider and loves loves loves to go for rides and does really well on a leash. Thunder does wonderful with the foster home’s dog and cat. Young children under the age of 12 make him nervous so calm respectful children over the age of 12 are suggested.
