He's only had one accident the first day he was here, which is typical for any dog in a new place. He happily sleeps on the dog beds and chews his puppy toys. Occasionally he'll take off in different rooms exploring but mostly he prefers to stay by our side.

He's a little leery about going into new places (like the first time entering the home or going into the basement), but once he's familiar, he's fine (now he runs up and down the stairs like it's nothing).

He's extremely friendly with our dog. They play and romp, and he covers her face in kisses every time they're "reunited" (even if she's just been in another room). His first reaction to meeting new people and dogs is quiet friendliness. He'll approach with waggy tail but not get exuberant unless the person makes a big fuss over him.
He's friendly with kids. We ran into kids at both the vet and the kennel the other day when he was getting his nails cuts (which he was very tolerant of). He was happy to be petted and licked their hands, but he didn't jump on them. He's an extremely gentle boy. He's also very very sweet with our cats--either avoids them or tries to kiss them (if they're in a good mood).
He's rather submissive. I think from being in such a large litter, he grew up not expecting much attention and was used to just fading into the background. He's coming out of his shell more now, but still doesn't push for attention ahead of our other dog (unless there's food involved).
He listens really well--not stubborn at all. He knows to sit for food and treats, and has even started sitting for petting. He doesn't always respond to his name, but he responds to being called (like a whistle or air-kiss or a high-pitched voice) and almost always comes running. When I have to take something away from him (as a puppy he does tend to pick up stuff in his mouth to chew), he's happy to take a proper toy as a substitute.

Again, he's a fantastic dog who I think would do well in just about any home. He's unusually mellow for his breed and age, which to me is a plus.

He's great and really sweet. He also knows "sit"
and walks really well on a leash. He's a wonderful gentle boy!

Chubby was born on Christmas day. He lived outside on a farm until he came into rescue. The family literally could not afford to feed and properly care for all the dogs so Chubby is needing a new home. He was with children and other dogs and did great with them all. He's just a happy go lucky pup that needs to be in a forever home. He will need obedience and some basic house skills, but he's just as sweet as can be.. he can quickly steal your heart!
