Jimbo is a smaller, very sweet Terrier who was rescued from a high-kill shelter. He was brought to the shelter because a family member was allergic. Poor Jimbo - he had done nothing wrong.
Jimbo is housebroken and is a happy dog. He will actually leap into the air with joy when all is right in his world. He wants so much to love and be loved by his very own family. He weighs in at 20 lbs, so he would be a great lap dog. He would enjoy going for walks with you, playing in the yard, curling up on the couch, or at your feet. He likes playing with other dogs, so he would be a wonderful second companion dog. He was born to be a happy house-dog and to make his people laugh every day of his life. Along the way, you will find yourself smiling every time he grins up at you with his cute Terrier face to say "thank you".
Jimbo will do best with someone who is home a lot..and he LOVES kids!!!
Update from Jimbo's foster mom:
We took Jimbo to the dog park last week. At first he was a little bit frightened, but he very quickly started running around and playing with the other dogs. He gets along very well with our other dogs. He is little, but he would like to be "top dog", so he can be a little bit rough in his doggie play. He is very good with children - very gentle and easy. He loves to cuddle on the sofa with us in the evenings and watch TV. He also gets along well with our cat -- no chasing or barking at him. I'm not sure if he was ever walked on a leash before; he likes to go on walks, but he needs some training. He understands "sit" and "down". He needs training, but he is very smart and eager to learn.
