Foots is very calm and gentle, but small children and lots of noise & activity make him very nervous. My daughter is very much an "in your face" child and it was too much for him. He was fine with my son- but my son is also very calm & gentle. Therefore, he needs an age limit- of 10+ for children. He has been the BEST dog I have ever had. He doesn't bark, he is very calm, he is low maintenance, loves other dogs and would prefer an environment with another dog. He loves his walks. He thrives on routine. He gets nervous if his routine is changed. He doesn't like to be bothered when he is laying down- that seems to be the trigger with young children. He doesn't want ANYONE in his face when he lays down. Any other time he has his head in my lap and is very sweet & lovable.
Foots is a very easy going, gentle giant.. but he's not used to the affections of young children hugging him so he will only be placed in an adult home. He's excellent with people and other dogs but he will not work with cats. He is housebroken and the perfect pal for any adult!
